omg, nyc

Mar 5

Today I went to Med/Surg expecting a morning crammed with the material that we’d missed during our snow day last week. EKGs, ABGs, other stuff I hadn’t actually taken the time to read about since I’d been so busy with writing care plans. Instead, we had about 40 minutes of lecture before we were forced out by another class that inexplicably had reserved the room we’d been using all semester. Once we were in the new room, Dr. Cohn had us watch the above video (starting at about the 1:45 minute mark), and then told us to create interpretive dances of different EKG patterns. I’m pretty sure I’ll always be able to identify Wenckebach; our dance was totally better than the example she showed us, despite our lack of clever lyrics. Med students are such nerds.
